Sopore Police recovered 2.06 lacs counterfeited Indian currency, One arrested

Sopore 14 July:Today a naka was established at Goripora Darpora Crossing Jurisdiction of Police Station Bomai by a team of Police Station Bomia headed by SHO Police Station Bomai Inspector Imtiaz Ahmad.


During naka checking police saw two persons coming from Rashidabad side towards Bomia. On seeing naka party these two suspected persons tried to flee from the spot ,but the Police Party deployed on spot tactfully apprehended one person namely Ghulam Hussain Gojar Lohar S/O Wali Mohammad Lohar R/O Devar Lolab Kupwara.

From his personal search 2.06 lacs counterfeited Indian currency was recovered from his possession where as other person managed to flee from the spot.

During questioning the said person disclosed the identity of another person as Ali Mohammad Mir R/O Janwara Sopore.


In this regard case FIR No. 57/2020 U/S 489B, 489C was registered at P/S Bomai and investigation is in progress.
