Srinagar 9 April 2021: General in Command (GOC) 15 Chinar Corps Lt. Devendra Pratap Pandey Friday said security forces will try to stop militant recruitment in Kashmir so that youth will not get inclined towards radicalization.
Addressing a joint press conference in Srinagar along with IGP Kashmir Police Vijay Kumar he said this year the priority of security forces will be to stop militant recruitment, bust OWG networks, and monitor the social media where youth are being radicalized.
“When I joined back here recently I saw a visible change that both civil administration, Army and police are making efforts to make valley a better place and they are doing it positively,” he said.
While IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar said total seven militants were killed in twin encounters in south Kashmir on Friday.
“Out of total five militants killed in Shopain four have been identified as Muzamil Manzoot Lone, Younis Ahmad Khanday, Basit Ismail Bakhsi and Aadil Ahmad Lone. Identity of one is yet ascertained, he said .
The IGP said Shah was advised to target Amarnath Yatra convoy this year and stated that full proof arrangements are in place for smooth yatra this year.(RK)
