First lady from the district to make her name mentioned and appreciated by PM Modi in ”Mann Ki Baat” for her social service,Hails timely help and administrative support by DC Ganderbal to fight Corona

Ganderbal July, 26: In a historical move, a lady from the hilly terrain of Waliwar Lar, has made the district proud for her untired social work that made Prime Minister Narendra Modi to mention and appreciate her during his speech to nation ”Mann ki Baat” a day ago.
Zaitoona Begum is a public representative in Panchayat Raj Institution (PRI), elected Sarpanch of Halqa ‘C’ of Village Waliwar, Tehsil Lar in district Ganderbal.
Zaitoona, just a few minutes after her name was mentioned by PM where she paid her cordial gratitude to Mr. Modi. She said she’s a public elected representative and she’s doing her best to educate her area of responsibility (AOR) about the deadly impact of Corona and its preventions.
Zaitoona said she has been distributing free face masks and sanitizers, besides running a serious campaign to make her people to follow COVID-19 guidelines. She said she’s thankful to Modi Ji for the free ration and free seeds schemes during the global pandemic lockdown and she used to take the essentials to the door steps of the poor people living in her Pachayat halqas.
Zaitoona while praising Prime Minister for the support and value given to her as an elected representative, thanked District Administration lead by efficient and public friendly Deputy Commissioner, Shafqat Iqbal for the timely support and encouragement.
Zaitoona said DC Ganderbal provided his full support and careful concern towards the developmental works in the area as well as efficient steps for the containment of Covid-19.
Zaitoona while talking to media agencies, requested Modi Government to consider Waliwar as a downtrodden hilly area where life is very hard and miserable and asked for SC status for the poor people living in all such areas across J&K.
Zaitoona also asked Modi government to bring in a suitable and sustainable employment schemes for the educated unemployed youth as the crises and hardships are inclining depression over the young minds.
