Sopore, Mar 24: In its continuous offensive against menace of drug abuse, Sopore Police Continues its war against drugs.

In a statement issued to “Greater Now News”,A naka was laid under the supervision of SDPO Rafiabad Shri. Nissar Ahmad-JKPS by a team of Police Post Watergam headed by Insp. Imtiyaz Ahmad at Chatloora, during naka checking one person namely Manzoor Ahmad Shah S/O Nazir Ahmad Shah R/O Neharpora Sopore was apprehended and 10 bottles of Codeine Phosphate were recovered from his possession.

In this regard case FIR No. 50/2021 U/S 8/22 NDPS Act stands registered at Police Station Dangiwacha and investigation has been set into motion.

Sopore Police is committed to continue its offensive against the drug peddlers and shall make every endeavour for a drug free Sopore.
