Sopore, Sept 20: On 19 September, a naka was established under the supervision of SDPO Sopore Shri. Raja Majid-JKPS at zindri crossing by police party of Police Station Bomai headed by SHO Police Station Bomai Insp. Imtiaz Ahmad, during checking one pedestrian was intercepted roaming in suspicious condition near check point. When police party approached him he tried to flee from the spot but was apprehended. During his personal search 500 Grams of Heroin like substance was recovered from his possession.

The arrested person has been identified as Abdul Ahad War S/O Late Gh Rasool War resident of Malpora Bomai. To this effect case FIR number 54/2021 under section 8/21 NDPS Act stand registered at Police station Bomai and investigation taken up.
