One unidentified militant was killed in an ongoing operation in Reban Village of North Kashmir’s Sopore on Sunday.
Acting on a credible input, a cordon and search operation was launched jointly by the Police, Army’s 22 RR and the CRPF in the Reban area of Sopore.
During the search operation, the hiding militants fired on the search party. The fire was retaliated leading to an encounter.
One militant has been killed so far and the house in which the militant was hiding has been blasted.The militant was killed after the security forces blasted the house where the militant was holed up.
The body of the killed militant has been recovered from the encounter site and identity of the slain militant is yet to be ascertained told an official while talking to greater now.
Meanwhile the search operation is still on in the area.
