Sopore June 06:Today at about 2130hrs Sopore police received information about a terror crime incident in Bomai area of Sopore where militants had fired on a civilian. Senior police officers reached at the terror crime spot.
Officers attending the terror crime spot learnt that one individual was shot at by the militants near his house in Bomai Sopore. He has been identified as Ishfaq Ahmad Najar son of Manzoor Ahmad Najar resident of Adipora Bomai Sopore. He has received grievous gun shot injuries in this incident. He was shifted to nearby hospital for treatment where he succumbed to his injuries.
Police has registered a case in this regard under relevant sections of law. Investigation is in progress and officers continue to work to establish the full circumstances of this terror crime. Area has been cordoned and search in the area is going onon.
