Nocturnal gunfight starts in Handwara Village

Handwara, August 19: An encounter broke out between militants and security forces in North Kashmir’s Handwara
Official sources told that a joint team Police, army’s 32 RR and CRPF launched a joint cordon-and-search operation in the area, there was firing upon the team from militants hiding in the area.
The fire was retaliated, triggering of an encounter, they added.
Till this report was being filed intermittent firing was going on.
