Uri, April 26:A male dead body was found near Government Higher Secondary School Boniyar on Monday.

According to Police the deceased has been identified as a mentally retarded person who was roaming in the area from last couple of years.

According to this correspondent, Some local youth informed the Police on Monday morning about the incident. Acting swiftly Police party from Police Station Boniyar reached the spot and shifted the body to the Public Health Centre Boniyar.

While talking to “Greater Now” Station House Officer Boniyar “Ashiq Hussain” said that the deceased was mentally unsound and was residing here from some couple of years. However we are trying to get into the touch with his family”

“Some locals brought this in our consideration and within no time our team reached the spot, Local Auqaf committee identified the deceased as “Jagera”, and was later buried in local graveyard with proper COVID-19 protocol” he added.
