Shopian, July 18 : Joint Forces fired warning shots after launching a Cordon and Search operation in a village of South Kashmir’s Shopian district.

Sources told that soldiers from 34 Rashtriya Rifles, 178 Battalion CRPF and Jammu Kashmir Police personnel cordoned of Chek Sadiq Khan village of Imamsahab Shopian.

There were inputs about the presence of at least two militants in a house.

Sources added that warning shots were fired. Reinforcement have been called in while lights have also been installed.
