Srinagar, July 14: A day after the Jammu and Kashmir Police’s Head Quarters (PHQ) at Peerbagh Srinagar was sanitized, the swab samples of the Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbagh Singh returned negative for Covid-19 on Tuesday.
According to a police official, the PHQ building was sanitized and the swabs of several police officers, including the DGP were taken for testing, after a top-ranking police officer of Assistant Inspector General (AIG) level had tested positive for the pathogen.
Samples of several more officers, including some IGPs, DIGs, and SSPs, who have come into the infected officer, are being collected today for testing today, a senior police officer, told CNS, on the condition of anonymity.
Confirming the negative test results of DGP, he said, “Along with the samples of Director General, the samples of Additional Director General have also returned Negative”.(CNS)
