Srinagar: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested two insurance officers including a lady while accepting bribe in Pratap Park Lal Chowk area of Kashmir capital Srinagar.

An official told that two insurance officers including a lady were arrested while accepting bribe of two lakhs in Pratap Park, Lal Chowk.

He identified the insurance officers as R.K Goyal Senior Divisional Manager National Insurance Company Ltd. And Administrative Officer National Insurance Company Ltd Nahida Gaffar, Wife of Bilal Ahmad, resident of Sector 1, UmarAbad HMT Srinagar.

He said both the officers were arrested while accepting the bribe of two lakhs for settling personal accident insurance claim of a deceased customer, who died in a road accident in January 2020.

“A case under relevant sections of law has been registered at CBI office in Srinagar and further investigation has been initiated in the matter,” he added. (KDC)
