Uri, 26 Apr : Baramulla police on Monday claimed to have arrested two over ground workers along with two Chinese hand grenades who are affiliated with Hibul Mujhaideen in North Kashmir’s Boniyar Tehsil.
In a statement issued to “Greater Now”, Police spokesman said “Today on 26/04/2021, Baramulla Police arrested two OGWs of Hizbul Mujahideen outfit namely Liyaqat Ahmad Kakroo S/O Showkat Ahmad R/O Nambla Uri and Akhtar Ahmad Mir S/O Hafizullah Mir R/O Barnate Boniyar A/P Trikanjan Boniyar at Boniyar Baramulla , two Chinese hand Grenades also recovered from their possession.
“The duo was active in trading, smuggling and arranging of arms and ammunition for the militant outfit”.
Case under relevant sections of law stands registered in Police Station Boniyar and investigation set in motion”added statement.
