Official sources told that militants fired upon a man aged 45 years-old, leaving him critically injured.

Medical Superintendent Sub District Hospital Bijbehara Dr Tulla Singh while confirming the incident said that a man was recieved multiple bullet wounds in head and abdomen.

He has been shifted to GMC anantnag for advanced treatment.

As per the official sources he has been identified as Mohd Saleem Akhoon son of Ghulam Hassan Akhoon resident of Bijbehara and was serving in Territorial Army.

Meanwhile whole area has been cordoned off to nab the fleeing militants, they said. GNS
