Kupwara:Humdard-e-Kupwara Battalion under the aegis of Hajipir Brigade and Vajr Division in association with Save youth and Save future a NGO organised a First ever T-20 Women Cricket Match at Galzoo Cricket Stadium Kupwara on 10 November 2020. The participating teams were from Baramulla namely Baramulla Swingers and Baramulla Power Hitters.

The match was witnessed by more than 200 girls from Kupwara town and nearby areas.
The event, a first in history of Kupwara, was aimed at motivating and inspiring young girls from the area and boost their confidence in pursuit of their dreams.

The overwhelming response to the event could be gauged from enthusiasm in the girls who turned up in huge numbers to witness the match.
The event was also graced by prominent women achievers of Kupwara including Mrs Kausar Ameen, CMO Kupwara, Ms Ameena Lateef, KAS and Mrs Asifa, BDC, Nuthsusa.

The guests also interacted with the audience and shared their struggle and success stories and urged them to come forward and work hard in bringing new glories to the society and be an inspiration to others.

The event kindled the sportsman in every young girl who witnessed the match and would pave a way for Women Teams in Kupwara in various sports in near future.
