Kupwara, Mar 21:  On the directions of SP Handwara IPS Dr G V Sandeep Chakervarthy, Villgam Police cracks on persons involved in drug peddling.

In a statement issued to”Greater Now News”,on 19th March during patrolling one Alto car bearing Reg No:JK01E /6285 driven by a person namely 1.Sharafat Ahmad Wani S/o Aziz-u-Rehman R/o Dedikoot along with another person namely, 2.Imtiyaz Ahmad Bhat S/o Mohd Sadiq Bhat R/O Pazipora,during checking 20 grams of charas and cash of worth 40,530// was recovered from their possession. Accordingly a case was registered under FIR No:15/2021 u/s 8/20, 29,NDPS Act by this Police Station and investigation taken up.

Today During naka checking at Punzwa Y crossing one Innova vehicle bearing Reg No: JK09/9390, driven by a person namely Zahoor Ahamad Shiekh S/o Ab Khaliq R/o Gushi Kupwara,during checking 30 grams of Charas was recovered along with cash of rupees 9000// accordingly a case was registered by PS Villgam under FIR NO. 17/21 U/s 8/20 NDPS Act and investigation taken up.

Locals of the area while talking to “Greater Now” have applaud the efforts of Villgam Police particularly SHO PS Villgam against drug menace.
