Two civilians injured in cross-border shelling in north Kashmir’s Uri

Baramulla 20 June:Two civilians were injured in cross-border shelling in north Kashmir’s Uri sector on Saturday.

Pakistan violated the ceasefire agreement  and targeted Indian posts and civilian areas in several villages along the Line of Control in Uri sector,Indian troops retaliated the firing.

Pakistan initiated an Unprovoked Ceasefire Violation (CFV) along the LoC in Baramula district. Two civilians have been injured in the CFV. Indian Army is retaliating befittingly told an official.

The injured were identified as Ahmad Sheikh 60; Maqbool Mangral 20 both residents of Nambla Uri.The injured were shifted to hospital and condition of all the injured is stable.

SSP Baramulla Mr Abdul Qayoom while confirming told that two persons were injured in Nambla Uri after Pakistan resorted to unprovoked ceasefire voilation.

The exchange of firing created panic in border villages and most of the people were restricted indoors in different villages of Uri
