
Sopore Nov 17: Dozens of shopkeepers in Sopore town of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Tuesday protested against the increasing number of burglaries cases in the main town Sopore
The protesters accused the authorities of being irresponsible as they are not taking any concrete steps to stop such incidents.
Earlier, protesters gathered at Shah Faisal Market and later staged a sit-in on Sopore-Nopora road.
According to reports, several shops in Sopore were looted last night. Haji Muhammad Ashraf Ganai, President, Sopore Economic Alliance, urged the administration to take serious note of the increasing incidents of burglary and sought stern and swift action against the culprits. (CNS)
