Rafiabad:At a time when India is battling with COVID-19 menace, the Army is not only guarding borders but also been engaged in facilitating the essential needs of citizens.

Army’s 32 Rashtriya Rifles personnel today provided assistance in the form of Ration to the needy and migrant labourers in the area.

To ensure that the destitutes, needy and especially migrant labourers are not left abandoned and are taken care of well at this distressing time of lockdown, Rafiabad Army 32 Rashtriya Rifle under the aegis of Kilo force conducted health checkup and distributed face masks and Ration to destitute and needy migrant labourers in various villages of Rafiabad.

Meanwhile 32 RR also distributed sweets to approximately 100 children who were celebrating Eid at Watergam and Ration packets were distributed with complete Covid protocols at all the places with the aim of bringing smiles on the faces of locals.

“These initiatives in such trying times by Army will bring much required relief to the deprived as also safeguard the people. The endeavour to reach out the population by all possible ways and means will continue in the days to come,”told an Army official while talking to Greater Now.

The importance of being cheerful during hard times and of following Covid norms were also stressed upon.

The spirit behind organising the event was to celebrate the core values of brotherhood and secularism.

The event organised by 32 Rashtriya Rifles, which provided an opportunity for promoting the spirit of goodwill, brotherhood and harmony, was highly appreciated by the locals.
