Three Kulgam Teachers suspended over alleged rape charge
Srinagar, July 06: Taking cognizance of the matter, the education department on Monday suspended all three Government teachers on the charge of the alleged rape case.
In an order copy which lies with news agency KINS reads, on the basis of a written complaint submitted by inhabitants of village Chachmulla regarding sexual harassment of a local girl, the three teachers (name withheld) are being placed under suspension with immediate effect pending an inquiry.
Pertinently, A Kulgam girl (name withheld) approached the police station with a written complaint in which she alleged that three government teachers raped her.
A police officer earlier this day confirmed to this newspaper about this incident and said one accused has been arrested and efforts are on to arrest other two accused teachers.
He said a case with FIR No 109/2020 U/S 366,376 IPC was registered and an investigation was set into motion.(KINS)
