Sopore,Dec 26:Continuing its drive against the Drug peddlers and its propagators, Sopore Police arrested three more drug peddlers.

Acting on an information Sopore Police placed a special Naka at Behrampora Rafiabad by Police Party of Police Post Watergam sopore headed by DO Watergam SI Imitiyaz Ahmad and arrested three drug peddlers namely 1. Shabir Ahmad zarger S/O Ghulam Mohiudin R/O Behrampora Rafiabad 2. Mehrajudin Wani S/O Ab Rahim R/O Sumbal Bandipora and 3. Feroz Ahmad Dar S/O Ab Latief R/O Mujgund shalteng and recovered 18 grams brown sugar like Substance from their possession and also seized car bearing registration number JK05A 5882 which they were using to supply drugs among the youth of Police District Sopore.

Case FIR Number 152/2020 U/S 8/21, 29 NDPS Act registered at Police Station Dangiwacha and investigation has been taken up.

Our consistent actions against drug peddlers should reassure the community members that we are making efforts to keep our society free from the scourge of drug menace. It is pertinent to mention that Sopore Police has arrested 65 drug peddlers in the current year and will continue the mission till the eradication of this menace from Police District Sopore.
