They (RMSA) subject specific teachers are 550 in number including 320 from Jammu division and 220 from Kashmir division who were working in 110 RMSA-Upgraded Middle Schools to the level of High Schools.
They were recruited under central sponsored scheme Rashtriya madyamik shiksha Abhiyaan initially for period of one year in 2018 with an inbuilt provision of further extension like other employees but unfortunately their services were discontinued by government.
It is pertinent to mention that these specific teachers were appointed after following a proper procedure that is these teachers were supposed to be having PG with b. Ed. and these teachers had also qualified state level written test.
But despite of having all the desired qualifications unfortunately their services were discontinued for some unknown reasons and these teachers are now moving from pillar to post but to no avail.
These teachers while talking to Greater Now told that they have crossed the desired age bar and now they cannot apply for other sate level posts and this has made their miseries more difficult.
Teachers while talking to Greater Now appealed to Lt. Governor of JK UT to kindly intervene and look into the matter so that their hardships which their families are facing due to their service discontinuation from last couple of months will end and addressing their grievances will be in the interest of Justice.
