Baramulla:To engage people especially youth the final round of the talent hunt “Kashmir Got Talent” and a musical fest was organised today at Dangiwacha by Rafiabad Army. A never seen before platform to showcase their talents was provided to the local population.

As part of the ongoing events an Talent Show programme was organised at the Dangiwacha Rafiabad under the aegis of the Kilo force. The aim of the Talent show was to showcase the Talent of the youth in addition to serving as an outreach initiative towards the local population and to provide a platform for local cultural shows.

Commander 7 Sector Brigadier Mahipal Singh Rathore was Chief guest during the programme,besides him DIG North Kashmir Suliman Choudhary,DIG CRPF and other officials from civil administration were also present during the event,and at the end of the event they interacted with the people of Rafiabad and discussed various issues related to development and betterment of the area.

A total of 153 participants comprising of singers,dancers,poets, mental math geniuses and martial artists took part in the talent hunt from in and around Rafiabad.

The main attraction of the Talent Show was various types of Singing programmes and Dancing programmes, which generated a lot of curiosity and excitement amongst those who attended, especially the children.
In order to encourage local population, the Rafiabad Army had invited famous singers of Kashmir Waqar Khan and Abid whose singing highlighted the rich talent and made to enjoy.
There were presentations by the Cultural groups, local schools as also local dance troupes. Vibrant colours were added to the events when the famous singers Waqar Khan and and Abid Band hit notes in synergy with the local dancers. This was followed by a massed Punjabi dance, which was truly enthralling.
The Talent show organized in Dangiwacha Rafiabad successfully highlighted the capabilities of the local youth also displaying the rich culture of Kashmir region. The close coordination and cooperation between the Army and the civil administration was on full display in the show, which also contributed towards its huge success.
One local resident while talking to Greater Now told that Joint efforts of residents and Army’s 32 RR have made it possible that Rafiabad which was famous for militancy in 90’s era has now witnessed a huge Talent show programme participated by around 153 participants.
Locals also while thanking Rafiabad Army for organising this event told that these type of events should be held regularly so that Kashmiri youth can get a chance to showcase their talent.”

Singer Waqar Khan while talking to Greater Now also request parents of youth to let them play and participate in these type of events and let them showcase their talent as this is the only way to move ahead. I request them to support their wards,” He added.

Preliminary rounds were conducted on 02-03 Nov 2020. 10 finalists performed today infront of judges for cash prizes including the local band from Batsuma village.Participants matched the seasoned artists with respect to the level of entertainment.All the winners were awarded at the end of the event by Commander,7 Sector RR and DIG,JKP,North Kashmir.
Meanwhile, the singers,dancers and others who participated in this also appreciated the efforts of the Rafiabad Army as it will boost the Talent and culture in this area of Kashmir valley and will also strengthen the existing bonohomie with the local populace.
