Sopore, April 25: Police in Sopore solved a theft case by arresting an accused person involved in the commission of crime and recovered stolen property

Police Station Sopore received information regarding the theft/lifting of bikes from Main Town Sopore. Upon receipt of this information, a case vide FIR No. 75/2021 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Sopore and investigation was taken up, said Police in a statement issued to”Greater Now News”.

During the course of investigation, the investigating officers questioned many suspects and one suspected person identified as Babar Bashir Palla son of Bashir Ahmed Palla resident of Krankshivan Sopore confessed his involvement in the commission of crime. Upon his disclosure, officers were able to recover two stolen bikes from him and more recoveries are expected. He has been arrested and shifted to police station where he remains in custody. Further investigation into the case is in progress.

Community members have applauded the efforts and prompt action taken by the Sopore police. We assure community members that police have resolved to act tough against individuals involved in criminal activities.
