Sopore, Mar 06: Acting swiftly upon a reliable information about timber Smuggling at Kiterdaji Rafiabad, SHO Police Station Dangiwacha Inspector Imtiyaz Ahmad under the close supervision of SDPO Rafiabad Ameen Bhat-JKPS raided the specific location as mentioned above and seized illegal timber. However accused taking the advantage of darkness and topography of the area managed to escape, efforts are on to nab the culprits.

In this regard Case FIR No. 22/2022 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Dangiwacha and further investigation into matter has also been taken up.

Acting tough against timber smugglers, Sopore Police assures general public that the drive against timber smugglers will continue to ensure protection of Green Gold from the plunder.

The efforts of District Police Sopore has been highly applauded by the general public and Sopore Police assures that in future severe actions under law shall be taken against the culprits so that green forest cover shall be saved from destruction.
