Sopore, 27 April 2021:In continuation to our earlier meetings with the religious leaders, auqaf committees and immams. Today on the directions of SP Sopore Shri. Sadhunshu Verma-IPS, Sopore Police held review meetings with the immams and religious leaders regarding adherence to the COVID-19 containment measures to be followed in Masjid shareefs at Police Station Tarzoo and Police Station Panzalla.

Both the meeting were chaired by concerned SHO Police Stations Tarzoo Insp. Bilal Khanday and Insp. Mudasir Shafi in which Masjid immams of the jurisdiction of Police Station Tarzoo and Panzalla participated.

During meetings it was emphasised upon the participants to reduce the rush in the Masjid Shareefs and iftar parties are to be discouraged during COVID times for which the participants have expressed that the Masjid managements have already reduced the rush by more than 50%.

The immams and religious leaders were also impressed upon to revisit the SOPs being followed in the Masjid Shareefs and ensure that those offering prayers should wear masks and to maintain social distancing strictly and other hygiene related steps to contain covid-19 spread.

The participates assured that all the directions with regard to containment of Covid-19 shall be followed strictly and shall explore possibilities of further reducing the rush in the Masjids.
