Sopore, Jan 06: Continuining its sincere efforts against Drug menace in PD Sopore, A team of Police Post Watergam headed by DO PP Watergam held a naka near petrol pump Watergam Rafiabad and intercepted a car bearing registration number JK05D 6444 and three notorious drug peddlers namely 1. Tariq Ahmad Lone S/O Muhammad Subhan Lone 2. Muhammad Iqbal Lone S/O Muhammad Subhan Lone both the residents of Naidhal Rafiabad and 3. Nazir Ahmad Bhat S/O Muhammad Akbar Bhat R/O Hanga Handwara were apprehended and during checking 48 Capsules of Spas-Trancan Transcan Plus 94 Tablets of Alprasafe and Brown sugar like Substance were recovered from their possession which they were carrying for distribution among youth.

Accordingly all the three accused were arrested and car was also seized.

In this connection case FIR No. 02/2022 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Dangiwacha and further investigation has been taken up.

It is pertinent to mention here that the Sopore Police will continue its drive against drug menace and request general public of Police District Sopore to come forward and help us to curb this bad evil from the society.
