Sopore, 28 Feb: Sopore Police recovered Kidnapped girl and arrested the person involved in committing the crime.

In a statement issued to”Greater Now News”Police Station Bomia on 26 Feb, 2021 received a written complaint for assistance from a complainant stating that his daughter (name withheld) had been kidnapped by one person namely Nayeem Ahmad Ganie S/O Ghulam Mohiudin Ganie R/O Marazigund Rafiabad.

Acting promptly upon the complaint, a Case FIR No. 09/2021 U/S 363 IPC was registered in Police Station Bomia and investigation was set into motion.

Accordingly a team headed by SHO Bomia Insp. Imtiaz Ahmad under the close supervision of SDPO Zaingeer Shri. Muhammad Amin-JKPS was constituted to trace the kidnapped girl and to nab the culprit.

Utilizing all available means, with strenuous efforts specific information was generated by the investigating team which led in recovery of abductee girl and kidnapper was arrested who is now behind bars.

After fulfilling all medico-legal formalities recovered girl was handed over to her legal heirs and further investigation of the case is going on. Community members are requested to cooperate with police in curbing crimes.
