Sopore, 18 Feb:Sopore Police while continuing its war against drug menace arrested a natorious drug peddler for supplying Drugs.

In a statement issued to Greater Now News, During Naka checking at Watergam, Police party of Police Post Watergam led by Incharge Police Post Watergam Insp. Imtiyaz Ahmad under the supervision of SDPO Rafiabad Shri. Nissar Ahmad-JKPS intercepted a person identified as Jahangir Ahmad Tantry S/O Fayaz Ahmad Tantry R/O Behrampora Rafiabad alongwith 10 bottles of Codeine Phosphate and cash rupees three thousands from his possession.

Accordingly case FIR No. 24/2021 U/S 8/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Dangiwacha and investigation taken up. It’s pertinent to mention here that it’s second FIR of the day of NDPS Act registered by Sopore Police today.

General public and Civil society members are requested to extend cooperation to the Police and come forward with informations regarding anti-social activity in their neighborhood so that the drug menance is rooted up from the society.
