Sopore, Mar 30: Sopore Police continuing its efforts to eradicate drug abuse in Police District Sopore.

In a statement issued to “Greater Now News”, a surprise naka was established at Railway crossing Sopore by a team of Police Station Tarzoo headed by SHO Police Station Tarzoo Insp. Bilal Khanday apprehended a drug peddler and recovered 152 tablets of SPASMOPROXYVON Plus from his possession. Accused was identified as Mushtaq Ahmad Rather S/O Sonaullah Rather R/O Dewpora Tangmarg.

Accordingly case FIR No. 21/2021 US 8/22 NDPS Act stands registered at Police Station Tarzoo and investigation has been initiated. Motorcycle bearing registration number JK05F 4608 which was used in this connection was also seized.
