Baramulla 1 Aug:Recognising his contribution in remaining always at forefront for the people of border village Batgrah Churunda,SDM Uri today felicitated Lal Hussain Kohli, a social activist.

Lal Hussain Kohli was today felicitated for highlighting the grievances of people of Batgrah Churunda which is a village based near LOC in Uri sector of North Kashmir.

According to locals every time when there is any problem or Unprovoked shelling by Pakistan our village Churunda remains most effected and due to unavailability of mobile network it is always very difficult for us to seek any immediate help, but Lal Kohli always travels to main market uri and informs officials and media over phone about all the happenings of our village due to which we have always received help in every situation.

It is pertinent to mention here that Lal Hussain Kohli always travels to distant places with representations from people of his village which he posted to higher authorities in the different departments for redressal of different grievances.

Some media persons also told Greater Now that Lal Hussain Kohli is very good person and he has very good contacts of media fraternity and whenever there is any happening in the border village Churunda, he immediately travels to Uri market and from there he informs media persons about the news as there is still no mobile network available in the Churunda Village.

Lal Hussain Kohli while talking to Greater Now told that today’s felicitation is encouraging me to do more work for the people of my village.
