Baramulla, April 16 : Baramulla police on Friday nabbed shoplifter with the couple of hours with the help of CCTV camera.

In an statement issued to Greater Now News, reads that “Today on 16-04-2021, at around 1300 hrs some shopkeepers while offering Friday prayers left their shops unattended at Sheeri Market. After conclusion of the prayers, few of them realised that their shops have been burgled and accordingly reported to PS Sheeri about theft of cash”.

“Police came into action swiftly and got the CCTV footage from cameras incidentally installed in some of the shops in which the thief was seen roaming inside the shops” statement reads.

“The thief was identified and manhunt launched; and was arrested from Trikanjan area before dusk and some cash was also recovered from his possession The timely action and the installation of CCTV Camera in shops was instrumental in solving the burglary case”

“People of the district especially shopkeepers are advised to install CCTV Cameras in & around their respective shops as soon as possible so that such type of burglary cases are solved and culprits brought to book” Baramulla Police told in an statement.
