Baramulla, Aug 27: After Ashiq Mir Managing Editor of Kashmir Crown Now Shahid Imran Owner and Chief Editor Kashmir Crown was arrested today for extortion case

Police in this regard has issued a statement which reads that, “On 09/08/2021, Police Station Dangiwacha received an order from hon’ble court of law for lodging of FIR against Chief Editor Kashmir crown Shahid Ahmad Ganai @ Shahid Imran and correspondent Kashmir Crown Ashiq Mir. On this, case fir 145/2021 under sections 384, 385, 506 (1) 420 and 120B IPC, was registered in PS Dangiwacha.

During course of investigation one accused namly Ashiq Salam Mir S/O AB Salam Mir R/O Bagh Islam Baramulla was arrested on 26/08/2021 and today on 27/08/2021 Kashmir Crown Editor Shahid Imran Ganie S/O Gh Mohammad Ganie R/O Rohama Rafiabad was formally arrested.

Further investigation in this matter is going on, statement added.
