Uri, May 21: Sub-Divisional Police Officer Uri Mr Junaid Wali on Friday visited the markets in Uri and Boniyar tehsils where he interacted with the Officials of police and reviewed the measures on ground in view of COVID-19.
SDPO appreciated the dedicated efforts of Jammu and Kashmir Police and others security forces for ensuring the implementation of Government directives issued time to time with regard to the 2nd wave of COVID-19 outbreak.
He directed the Jawans at Nakas to ensure that all the health advisories are followed strictly adding that adopting strict measures are necessary for safeguarding the lives of people from Coronavirus infections.
SDPO Uri alongwith SHO Boniyar visited various areas of Boniyar tehsil to take first hand appraisal of the implementation of lockdown and other guidelines pertaining to COVID-19 pandemic.
He interacted with the Jawans at various naka points and appreciated the commitment of the officers and men in uniform.
Moreover he took stock of the security grid on National Highway.
