Rafiabad army celebrated 7th armed forces veterans day at watergam,veterans lauded efforts of Rafiabad army

Rafiabad:Indian Armed Forces Veterans Day was celebrated at Watergam (Rafiabad) on Saturday to recognize the services rendered by the first Commander-in-Chief of Indian Armed Forces, Field Marshal KM Cariappa, who retired on 14 Jan 1953.

A Veterans’ meet was organised at battalion headquarters, Watergam (Rafiabad) which was attended by 69 Veterans and 04 Veer Naris and 01 Veer Mata from various Tehsils of Rafiabad, Qaziabad, Rajwar & Ramhal regions of ‘Rajwar Tigers’.

The Veterans were felicitated by the Commanding Officer of Rafiabad.

The event was aimed to recognise their contribution and seek first-hand information about problems being faced by them.

Attendees were educated about various welfare projects skill development being undertaken as also Health Care during COVID.

To facilitate instant mitigation of issues, various stalls, including Medical and Dental Camp, Zila Sainik Welfare Board, Skill Development, Banks etc were established.

Commanding Officer of Rafiabad region on behalf of Commander, Rajwar Sector of Rashtriya Rifles during his address, felicitated them and assured continued assistance from the Army.

The Commanding Officer also expressed his gratitude in recognition of their sacrifice, service to the Nation and gallant act during active service in the line of duty.
