Policeman killed in Budgam road accident
Budgam, May 30: A policeman was killed after the bike he was driving was hit by a truck in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
The incident occurred in the Soibugh area of the district.
Sources told the news agency that an LP Truck (JK015A- 7018) hit a motorcycle leaving the biker seriously injured. He was taken to hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
The deceased was a police constable identified as 28-year-old Ishfaq Majeed, a resident of Paimus village of Budgam.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident and registered a case under relevant sections of law.
Meanwhile, the truck driver has been arrested and the truck seized.
