Police solves burglary case in Bandipora; accused person arrested, Stolen property recovered

Srinagar, Oct 22: Police in Bandipora have solved a burglary case by arresting accused person involved in the commission of crime and recovered stolen property from his possession.

 

Statement issued to Greater Now News reads that ‘Police Station Bandipora received a complaint from one person namely Ghulam Qadir Dar resident of Lankreshipora Bandipora that some thieves had barged inside his residential house and have stolen golden ornaments and some cash.

 

In this regard, a case vide FIR No. 169/2022 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Bandipora and investigation into the matter was initiated. Accordingly, a special police team of police station Bandipora under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Bandipora Shri Mohammad Shafat-JKPS comprising of SHO PS Bandipora Insp Ashiq Hussain, PSI Saqib Ahmad & PSI Rakesh Kumar was constituted.

 

During the course of investigation, many suspects were called for questioning and after strenuous efforts investigating team arrested one accused person identified as Amir Ahmad Rather son of Gh Nabi Rather resident of Aanchar Soura Srinagar. During questioning, officers learnt about his involvement in the commission of crime and on his disclosure the stolen items included Golden Jewellery and cash of Rs 21350/= were recovered from his residential house in Aanchar Soura Srinagar. Further investigation of the case is going on.

 

Community members have applauded the efforts made by the Police in solving the case. Our consistent actions against the anti-social elements shall re-assure community members that Police has resolved to act tough against individuals involved in any criminal activities.
