Ramban, May 9: Police here in Ramban district of Jammu region recovered 970 electric detonators from an unattended bag lying in the mud.

A police official said that a reliable information was received at Police Post Ukhral that an unattended bag was lying in the mud with some explosive material in suspicious circumstances near the Higher Secondary School Ukhral.

On this information Inspector Rouf Ahmed Khan SHO Police Station Ramsoo along with In-charge Police Post Ukhral rushed towards the spot and found the same bag lying in the mud besides a Nala near Higher secondary School Ukhral.

During checking, 970 industrial grade EDs were found with proper packaging.

The official said that a case vide FIR number 44/2021 under section 120-B/IPC and 4/5/ explosive act was registered at Police Station Ramsoo and the investigation set into motion.
