Srinagar, July 08: Today at about 1530hrs, based on credible input regarding presence of terrorists in Ganai Mohalla Doabgah, Sopore Police along with 22 RR & 179Bn CRPF launched a cordon & search operation in the said area.

During search in the area, one hideout of proscribed militant outfit HM was found in the basement of a single storied house belonging to one person (name withheld), said Police in a statement issued to Greater Now News.

Incriminating materials including huge cache of arms & ammunition were recovered from the busted hideout. The hideout was destroyed on spot in presence of Executive Magistrate. In this connection, one militant associate was also arrested.

All the recovered materials have been taken into Police custody for the purpose of investigation. Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Sopore and further investigation has been initiated in this regard.
