Panic in Sangri Colony Baramulla after leopard like animal spotted in residential area

Baramulla:Panic gripped in Sangri Colony Baramulla, after a leopard-like animal was spotted in Sangri Colony Baramulla on Saturday late night triggering a scare in the entire vicinity.

According to locals leopard-like animal was sighted roaming freely through the streets and it’s presence in the area is forcing people to stay indoors.

The movement of a leopard-like animal was captured in the CCTV of a house and the video footage of the same was shared with Greater Now by a local resident.

However, no casualty or attack has been reported so far, except the sighting of the leopard close to the human settlement.

A local resident while talking to Greater Now said that, “There is a fearful atmosphere at night after a leopard was spotted at Sangri Colony Baramulla,Already, several dogs have gone missing. The CCTV has captured the movement of a leopard in the street in front of a house. The District administration and Forest Department should initiate measures to capture the leopard immediately.”

Residents of the area while talking to Greater Now appealed Wildlife Department to capture this leopard as soon as possible in order to prevent any attack on locals.(Greater Now)
