Handwara Mar 20: The International Day of Happiness is held annually on March 20. It is the day the world recognizes the importance of happiness in our lives.

First celebrated in 2013, the International Day of Happiness brings awareness to happiness as a fundamental human goal and highlights the importance of happiness and well-being as an aspiration for people all around the world.

Naugam Brigade continued its efforts of strengthening the bonhomie with locals by jointly celebrating the International Day of Happiness with the differently abled students of Blind School, Northern Federation Baramulla.

With the underlying theme of Spreading Happiness and love, an effort was made to let these people loose from their day to day challenges and enjoy the day through a series of fun frolic events organised for them to include Drawing competition, Antakshari, Jalebi Race, Pehchan kaun Competition (Identify the person), Music dance and much more.

Further all the winners were awarded with the attractive prizes. The event culminated with the tasty Lunch and distribution of sweets and Chocolates.

The event provided a great opportunity to the students to showcase their talent. The events witnessed happiness, kindness and togetherness of Awam and Jawan through the series of events, making them forget their day to day challenges.

The effort was well appreciated by the stake holders of school, where everyone actively took part and pledged to live a life full of happiness and health.
