Sopore, June 19: Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) was launched in several areas of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Saturday morning.

Reports said that a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) was launched in several areas of Sopore including Batpora, Sangrampora, khushal Matoo, Muslimpeer, Baba yousuf ,Shalpora and other adjacent areas.Joint forces including 22 Rashtriya Rifles, SOG of J&K Police and CRPF laid a siege in these localities and made thorough searches.

As per locals, door to door searches were conducted in these areas, also roads leading towards these areas were sealed by the forces.

Meanwhile a top police official confirmed and said following inputs about the presence of militant movement in these areas search operation was launched.
