Handwara, Nov 20: Noted, Social activist Javid Ahmad Khan of Kutlari Mawer on Friday left for heavenly abode after prolonged illness at his home.

Khan left for heavenly abode on today afternoon and was buried at his ancestral grave yard, hundreds of people participated in his funeral prayers.

Several, socio political leaders of Kupwara and Handwara condoled his demise and prayed for the eternal peace to deceased soul.

It is pertinent to mention here that the deceased was relative of Managing Editor of Greater Now Mir Arif.

Greater Now team expressed their condolences and told” our heart goes out to his family and wellwishers. May God give them the strength in this hour of grief.”

Greater Now team prayed to Allah to grant the best place to the deceased in Jannah and give courage to the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss.

The deceased was also brother of District President teachers forum Muneer Ahmad Khan.

Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir Lecturers forum also condoled the sad demise of Khan and prayed for the deceased soul.

Political and non political activists have expressed heartfelt condolences on his sad demise.They also expressed sympathy with his family, friends and relatives for the irreparable loss.
