JKPCC Scam: Crime Branch carries out fresh raids at multiple places

Srinagar, August 31 :Crime Branch of police on Monday carried raids at several places in various districts in connection with major scam in Jammu & Kashmir Projects Construction Corp (JKPCC).
The raids were carried out at the houses of several officers of JK project construction corporation in connection with a case related to alleged misappropriation and embezzlement.
The raids are being conducted at four locations in Srinagar and Pampore.
It is pertinent to state that this FIR has been registered on account of misappropriation/embezzlement in various works carried out by JKPCC Unit 10th, which has led to huge financial loss to the Government Exchequer,” an official told.
A senior officer of the crime branch confirmed the raids and said that same are being carried out in relation to the FIR 02/2020 under section 468, 471,120B IPC, 5(2) PC Act of police station CB Kashmir.
