Rafiabad: The residents of Watergam Rafiabad and its adjoining areas in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district have been left to lurch due to the non-adherence of their complaints about defunct Automated Teller Machine (ATM) of J&K bank. The locals alleged that bank authorities are not bothered to rectify the technical snags as a result people are suffering a lot.

The general public of Watergam Rafiabad and its adjoining areas are quite angry against the extremely poor ATM services by JK bank branch across in Watergam.

While talking to Greater Now several locals lambasted the authorities against the such pathetic ATM Services especially by J&K Bank which is lying defunct for the last more than five days and even during the Holy month of Ramzan, the bank authorities have failed miserably in solving the genuine problem of public.

“The bank authorities seem least bothered to rectify the technical snag as a result people are not able to withdraw cash, especially during this ongoing lockdown. We are made to suffer,” told Sahil a local resident.

Moreover, amid rise in Corona cases the public is forced to visit banks in long queues due to non- functioning of JK Bank ATM thus causing great threats to general public.

The locals of the area urged the concerned authorities to restore the JK Bank ATM services immediately as the public is being charged for the same and non availability of such important service is a bluff with the customers.

Local residents hope that the bank authorities will look into this important issue which is directly linked with general public of this area.
