Srinagar December 28: A delegation of JK Teachers Forum led by its Chairman Mohd Rafique Rather and Mohd Afzal Bhat President besides central, provisional and District Presidents of the valley.The meeting lasted for about three hours in which Mohd Rafique Rather Chairman JK Teachers Forum highlighted all the long pending issues of teaching fraternity vociferously in a systematic manner. Pertinently it was the maiden meeting of JK Teachers Forum with worthy Director since the reorganization of JKTF took place. The meeting was held in a cordial atmosphere in which all the issues of employees of Education Department from Contigant paid to Joint Directors were discussed in length and a resolute action was sought from the officers at helm.
In the beginning Mr Mohd Rafique Rather gave a detailed introduction of leaders present on the occasion and then submitted a charter of demands in the form of memorandum which included…..issuance of all pending tranisition orders of grade2 & grade3 teachers & release of their salaries, Time bond orders in favour of Reduced RRT’s, issuance of orders in Favour of Empanelled ReT’s, Adjustment of Head teachers on normal posts, Regularisation of Contigent paid employees, Inclusion of 16 years in the service records of migrant teachers, confirmation of all In charge officials which include headmasters, lecturers, ZEOs, Principals, CEOs and joint Directors. Sanction of charge allowances in favour of promoted lecturers, Issuance of ACP/Time bonds in favour of PSC lecturers, Promotions to Class 4th employees., Release of TA in favour of all school teachers and restarting of winter tutorials in govt schools etc, were enumerated and highlighted besides their speedy redrassal. Director School Education Kashmir Mr Mohd Younis Malik not only gave a patient hearing but explained each and every issue highlighted in the memorandum. He said, orders in favour of Grade2 & Grade3 teachers will be issued very soon. He also gave a detailed explanation on other issues and assured the delegation that all the issues in his jurisdiction will get resolute action and speedy redrassal and the issues beyond his jurisdiction will be submitted to administrative department with due recommendations.
Worthy Director School Education while appreciating the role of teachers forum amid covid19 lockdown said that the way organisational leaders and activists got involved as frontline warriors in fight aganist COVID is praise worthy he also refered to” reach out to the child” prog launched by jktf. Worthy director praised the role of leaders of jktf in creating awareness during enrollment drive and made it a success in their respective areas.
In the end President JKTF Mohd Afzal Bhat thanked worthy Director for sparing time out of his tight schedule.Mr.Bhat assured worthy director of whole hearted support and cooperation from jktf and added that the department will touch hights if the spirit continues.
