Srinagar,Jan 15(GNN):An emergency meeting of Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) was held at PHE Union office at Srinagar which was presided over by the President EJAC and Chairman Teachers Forum Mr. Mohammad Rafique Rather.
In a statement issued to (Greater Now News), some important issues pertaining to different departments of employees were deliberated upon in length by all leaders who were present their, and it was felt that the regularisation issue of dailywagers, adhoc and temporary employees is still pending with the result these employees are suffering badly inspite of the assurances given by the respective goverenments from time to time.
In the meeting issue of public sector employees caught the attention of al leaders when it was highlighted that the the employees working in different public sector have not been paid their due salary for many months now and officers at helm do not pay any heed to this human issue.
In order to persue rigrously these burning issues and the issues of other employees of different deparments already consolidated by EJAC, with the goverenment it was decided that a delegation of senior leaders headed by President EJAC will proceed to winter Capital Jammu to take up these issues with senior functionaries of the goverenment and will finalise further course of action in this regard.
It was also decided that leaders shall not issue any statement pertaining to policy matters without prior approval of President EJAC, and all leaders were urged upon to adhere to the unanimous decision.
It was also resolved that in order to strengthen the plateform of EJAC at District level provincial president was authorised to take immediate measures to speed up the process of constitution of district bodies and tehsil bodies of EJAC in every district of Kashmir province.
