Baramulla:President EJAC and chairman JK teachers forum Mohd Rafique Rather has expressed deep sorrow on the sad and sudden demise of Manjit Beer Singh.
The deceased was former Director Physical Education Government College Baramulla and Chairman Sikh Civil Society North Kashmir, Manjit Bir Singh, of Rangwar Baramulla, passed away after prolonged illness at SKIMS Soura Srinagar on Sunday morning.
In a statement to Greater Now Mr. Rafique Rather said that deceased was a noble soul, a symbol of love and brotherhood. He was uncontroversial, loved and respected by all irrespective of religion and a ideologies, Rather added.
He said that Baramulla lost a jewel who would always be remembered for his social work and his contribution in cementing relations between communities and castes.
Calling the death of Manjit Beer Singh a great loss to civil society in Baramulla and general public in particular Rather said that employees fraternity share the loss of the family and stand by them at this critical juncture. He prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.(Greater Now)
