Srinagar, Jan 11: JK employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) has expressed its shock on the sad and sudden demise of Dr.Tara Singh of Singhpora Baramulla, a renowned teacher, intellectual, ex- trade union leader, social activist and former President Gurdwara Parbandak Committee(GPC) Baramulla. In a statement issued to Greater Now News, President EJAC and Chairman JK Teachers forum Mohd Rafique Rather said that” i have lost a good friend and a well-wisher who would always encourage me to continue my struggle as an employee leader and would advise me on crucial issue in difficult times.

President EJAC said that he’s personally grieved on the death of Dr.Tara Singh a brave man, courageous leader, outspoken and articulated orator and added that Sikh community has lost a great leader and a reformist, who had volunteered himself to the selfless services of the poor and Sikh community in particular and was widely respected by all sections of society across political and ideological affaliations.

Rafique Rather said that death of Dr.Tara Singh had created a void in the Civil Society of Baramulla and in particular Sikh Community, which is difficult to be filled.

He said that he on behalf of entire leadership of EJAC and employees fraternity of JK extend condolences and solidarity to Sikh community and in particular to bereaved family, nears and dears of deceased. Rather prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace and strength to the family of deceased to bear with the unavoidable and irreparable loss.
