CRPF organized free medical camp in Sopore,locals appreciated efforts of 179 battalion

Sopore:To provide a quality health care facility, a free medical camp was organized by 179 Battalion of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in the Chinkipora area of Sopore.

The health check-up camp was taken forward under Civic Action Program. Highly qualified doctors conducted a medical check-up of around 500 civilians and provided free medicines and COVID-19 safety kits living in the surrounding areas.

They distributed free medicines, sanitisers, masks, and soaps to people.

The people were also explained in detail about the second wave of the COVID-19 Pandemic.

A large number of old age, men, women’s take part in this free medical camp to take benefits of the faculties provided by CRPF.

The free medical camp is part of CRPF’s drive for the welfare of the Kashmiri people and for serving them better amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The people of this area while thanking appreciated the efforts of CRPF in conducting this medical camp. The locals said if they would have bought these medicines from the market it would cost huge money but in this camp, they get all medicines free of cost.

Nazir Ahmad a local resident while talking to Greater Now stated that there is always a need for better medical facilities in a village like this. Such camps extend a lot of help to the locals. “I am thankful to the CRPF 179 Batallion for organising this and I am hopeful that such camps will keep on taking place in the future.”

Commanding officer of 179 Battalion Mr Rabish while talking to Greater Now said, “The camp is being sponsored by the central government to provide free health care in free under Civic Action Program. Under this program we are providing treatment for common diseases, seasonal illnesses, and also if there is a need to involve expert, we are providing that and we have provided free medicines to patients and it has also created a relationship between security officials and locals.”

179 Bn CRPF is here not only for security but social service to the community at large, so that public should utilise our services without hesitation and fear and the main objective of the camp was to make people aware of their health, the official added.

Locals while thanking appreciated the efforts and friendly gesture of CRPF and requested the CRPF to keep on organising such camps which facilitate the local residents of different areas.

Earlier, on Tuesday, the 179 Battalion of CRPF had organised a free medical health check-up camp and distributed free medicines in Wadoora payeen village of North Kashmir’s Sopore.
